No free upgrades will be included for customers who purchased a perpetual license after December 29, 2021," states the upgrade page.
"ZBrush perpetual customers who purchased prior to December 29, 2021, are entitled to free updates for one year following their purchase. There's also a new upgrade page noting that subscription licenses automatically receive free upgrades while customers, who purchased a perpetual license after December 29, 2021, will now only get bug fixes.

Now you need a subscription to get upgrades.
Previously, all the updates used to always be free, though the team always noted that licenses are entitled to one year of free upgrades. Following the acquisition news, the ZBrush team updated its subscription policy revealing that perpetual licenses acquired after December 29, 2021, will not receive free upgrades.
